The Surface Navy Association has implemented a new program to thank members who have sponsored new SNA members.  Recruitment points can only be earned if a member is new not a renewal and is not receiving a complimentary membership.

Sponsors listed on a new member's application will receive recruitment points based on the type of membership selected. Points can then be redeemed for membership extensions (not including life memberships) and SNA (Standard Line or Gold Medallion Line) memorabilia.  Points do not expire as long as a sponsor's membership stays current and has not been dropped from the main database.  We request that chapters only include a sponsor's name on an application if that person was instrumental in signing up a new member.  Please do not add anyone's name that did not have a direct impact in signing up a new member.  The following is an outline of the program:

Point Values

For every new 1 year membership that you sponsor, you receive 1 point.

For every new 3 year membership that you sponsor, you receive 3 points.

For every new Life membership that you sponsor, you receive 5 points.

Redemption Items

15 pts -  A 1-year membership extension or an item of memorabilia not to exceed $20.

30 pts -  Item of memorabilia not to exceed $40.

45 pts -  A 3-year membership extension or an item of memorabilia not to exceed $60.

60 pts -  Item of memorabilia not to exceed $80

85 pts -  Item of memorabilia not to exceed $100

100 pts- Item of memorabilia not to exceed $120

Emails will be sent to members biannually detailing the number of points in a person's recruitment account.  Emails will also include directions on how to redeem points.
