The Surface Navy Association
(SNA) greatly values your donation. An SNA Scholar receives an
academic scholarship based on demonstrated leadership, community
service, academic achievement and commitment to pursuing higher
educational objectives. Our criteria requires that an
applicant be a child, stepchild, ward or spouse of a current SNA
member who is a Surface Warfare Officer or Enlisted Surface Warfare
Specialist or Officers and Enlisted members of the Coast Guard who
have earned a permanent Cutterman's pin, with three years of sea
time.
The SNA Scholarship program
was first implemented in 1995 with one awardee for $500 a year. We
currently provide $2,000.00 a year to our awardees with annual
reinstatement criteria of maintaining a 3.0 Grade Point Average
(GPA).
