LCDR Little's shore tours include assignments as an instructor at the Surface Warfare Officers School Command Newport, RI, as a student at the United States Naval War College and as the Operations Officer, Commander, Fleet Activities Sasebo.

LCDR Little holds a BA in Peace, War and Diplomacy from Norwich University, a M. Ed from the University of Rhode Island and a MA in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College.

LCDR Little is currently assigned as Officer In Charge, Military Sealift Fleet Support Command Ship Support Unit Singapore.

LCDR Little has a proven track record in supporting SNA and furthering its objectives.  He served as Sasebo, Japan SNA Chapter Vice President from June 2005 to July 2007.  During this period he served under Chapter Presidents Commodore Mark Donahue and Commodore Anthony Pachuta (both Commanders of COMPHIBRON ELEVEN).  During his tenure as the Sasebo Chapter Vice President
he organized four SNA 5K sponsored runs with various themes, to include family fun runs, Japan Self Defense Force-SNA runs, and twilight runs.   Each of these runs attracted over 600 participants, and proceeds collected from the runs enabled SNA to contribute more than $8000.00 to the American Red
Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund and Sasebo's Sieu Fiens Children's Home.  SNA runs
quickly became highlight events for the Sasebo community.

Additionally, LCDR Little sponsored SNA luncheons and social events to include visits/addresses by VADM Etnyer, RDML Loewer and RDML Pottenger, and hosted a detailing visit by Navy Personnel Command.  LCDR Little also coordinated SNA participation in CFAS community events to include CFAS Open Base, Easter KIDZFEST, 4th of July Celebration, US Navy League Sailor/Marine of the Year Banquets and three strike group visits to Sasebo.  Of significant note, LCDR Little assisted junior Sailors in Sasebo by personally providing guidance and advice in conjunction with a start up initiative to commission a Sasebo Chapter Junior Sailors Association.   The unique relationship between the Sasebo Chapter of the SNA and the Sasebo Junior Sailors Association greatly added to the esprit de corps and
motivation between Sailors and Marines of CFAS and CTF-76, their families and members of the Japan Self Defense Force.  His efforts on behalf of the SNA strengthened Chapter membership, enhanced the US-Japan bilateral relationship and resulted in the Sasebo SNA Chapter being awarded the SNA
Chapter Excellence Award for 2006.
